Aurenanora Pool Cover

A pool cover sized to the common steel-wall pools, to keep leaves and dirt out and warmth in when the pool isn't in use, and reduce evaporation and chemical loss. A tough, UV-stable sheet with tie-downs or a cable-and-winch fixing. A cover also helps keep children from the water when you're not there — but it is not a substitute for supervision, a fence or an alarm.

• Type: steel-wall pool cover
• Use: keep debris out, warmth in, cut evaporation
• Note: not a substitute for supervision, a fence or an alarm

Water is dangerous for children — this comes first. Never leave a child unattended in or near a pool; keep constant adult supervision and secure the pool with a cover, fencing or an alarm as your local rules require. A steel-wall pool holds a huge volume of water — many tonnes — and must stand on a firm, level, load-bearing base prepared to the instructions (a concrete pad or correctly compacted sand bed), fully and correctly assembled; an inadequate base or a wrongly built wall can fail suddenly and release the water, which is extremely dangerous. A partly or fully in-ground installation needs correct excavation, bedding and backfill by a competent installer. An electric sand-filter pump or heater runs through an RCD and is connected per the instructions, with fixed wiring by a qualified electrician. Handle pool chemicals safely and never mix them. A fixed pool and its fencing can need building or planning permission — check first. CE marked where applicable. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers.
